Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten Books I’ve Read So Far In 2015

As usual, TTT is hosted over at The Broke and Bookish :)

I haven’t been doing super well with my reading challenge this year, but that’s mostly due to my annual reading slump. This can occur at any time of the year, for however long. This year it was around March/April. Not fun.

Anyway, since my birthday, I’ve been reading some great books! This has definitely helped add to this top 10 :)

1. Church of Marvels by Leslie Parry

This is my favourite book of the year. One of the best books I’ve read all year and is definitely added to the all-time favourites list.

2. Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple

Second favourite book of the year! So quirky and awesome :)

3. The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

Tied as the second with the above book. This book was AMAZING. So intense!

4. Sold out! by Robert Lllewellyn

I haven’t finished this yet, but I’m really close. I’ve really been enjoying it. Social commentary on the modern, consumer-driven world. Very interesting!

5. The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

This took me nearly a year to finish, but boy it was worth it! So great.

6. The Girl with all the Gifts by M.R. Carey

One of the best science-fiction books I’ve ever read. Unputdownable!

7. The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet by Bernie Su and Kate Rorick

Great adaptation of the web series.

8. As You Wish by Cary Elwes

An awesome insight into one of my favourite movies!

9. Every Parent’s Nightmare by Belinda Hawkins

I am pretty close to finishing this, but it was making me too sad. However, a very well-written, informative book.

10. Me Before You by JoJo Moyes

Still going on this one too, but WOW it’s amazing. Looking forward to finishing it and reading more of her books :)

I completely agree about The Girl With All the Gifts – it was an addictive read! I haven’t yet read The Girl on the Train but it is high up on my to-read list!

As You Wish had so many great stories, I really liked it! Sold Out is quite interesting and easy to read. I recommend it :)

Great choices! All of these but one are on my TBR pile. The only reason THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN isn’t is because I’ve already read it :) Loved it, too. I hope we both love all these.

    Happy TTT!

Haha, thanks Susan! Funny that all of these are on your TBR – we must have very similar taste in books! :) Agreed – Girl on the Train was brilliant!
