I am really, really enjoying this series. I feel like Marcia Clark is in a really great rhythm with them, and they’ve been getting steadily better. I can’t wait to read any others she writes!

While each book in the series has an individual crime that takes place, and they technically could be read as a stand alone, I think it’s to one’s benefit that these books be read in order. … View Post

A few months ago I watched The People Vs OJ Simpson and it was incredible. Seriously, amazing! I was around 4 when the OJ Simpson trial was on, thus I have no memory of it. So for me, the show was incredibly fascinating as I had basically no idea what was going to happen. Boy, was I in for a shock! The plan for me most years is to try and read around 52 books. I’ve yet to fully make it, but often come quite close, generally around the 45-48 mark. Once I made it to 50, which was painfully close.

This year has been a bit of a weird one, with good and not-so-good things happening. This has definitely had an impact on my reading, especially during those not-so-great times. I find that I just don’t enjoy reading when I’m sad, as either I don’t want to read a great book and risk having memories of sad things impacting it forever onwards. Or, I’ll read some average/bad books and I won’t enjoy them, which doesn’t help my mood.… View Post

My reading for 2016 started pretty well. I read six books that I really enjoyed, the last two of which were some of the best books I’ve ever read – but more on those in my favourites of 2016 list!
